This is our official start to the new piano year. In this session, we'll walk through studio updates, expectations, and help you and your student set clear goals for the months ahead. Parents should plan to attend, as we'll cover important information to help support your student's progress.

MTNA National Conference
The studio will be closed while Ms. Valerie attends the 2027 MTNA National Conference—an opportunity for professional development, continuing education, and fresh ideas to bring back to the studio!
Piano Boot Camp: Ages 11+
For beginners and non-beginners, this camp is a fast-track camp to level up your piano skills—equivalent to a month of lessons! Each camp day will have 2 hours of individualized instruction, supervised practice, and fun off-the-bench activities. Whether you already play, or if you've always wanted to learn the piano, this camp will give you a jump-start!
Chords & Improv Camp: Ages 7-10
This camp helps students go beyond reading music and start truly understanding how it works. Campers will explore chord patterns, pop progressions, blues, and improvisation—building creativity, confidence, and real-world playing skills at the piano.
Rock Me Amadeus: Ages 7-10
Mozart Meets the 80’s! Students will form their own rock bands using digital pianos that can sound like guitars, bass, drums, and synths. Campers will explore the sounds of 80's rock and pop while discovering how classical music - especially Mozart - can inspire modern music.
Piano Safari Discovery Camp
Piano Discovery & Exploration for ages 5-8. This engaging and energetic camp teaches the piano through imitation and improvisation and enables all types of young learners to easily learn music concepts. Each 2 hour camp day will include singing, rhythm activities, piano exploration, crafts, and more!
Music Splash Camp
Students will explore rhythm & notes using music games, water activities, sidewalk chalk and more in this playful camp designed for ages 5-8. If needed, outdoor activities may be moved indoors due to weather conditions.

Post Recital Celebrations
These small group celebrations will be a time to reflect on their performances, celebrate progress, and set new goals - plus some games and treats with piano friends.
Marathon Recital
Students of Play Out Loud Music Studio will be performing as part of Piano Celebration Week.
